Saturday & Sunday Daytime:

We’re working up a full two-day slate of talks, screenings and presentations that will cover genre favorites past and present, modeling seminars and workshops, guest Q&A’s and more and will be updating as we confirm!  Stay tuned and stand by for action!

The Prehistoric Times, They are a changin’: 20 Years of PT (11-Noon)
Join PT editor/publisher Mike Fredericks, Paleoartist legend William Stout and prolific author/dino-film expert Mark Berry for a look back at TWENTY years of the hobby’s outstanding dino-themed magazine! From toys and models to film, art and hard science, Prehistoric Times has celebrated the wondrous world of saurian obsession in all media, and it’s time we celebrated them!

Styrene Dreaming with Moebius Models!  (12:30 - 1:30)
The creative leader in the rebirth of classic genre figure & vehicle styrene modeling will provide sneak peeks at their new product rollouts for their appreciative fan base here at the show. Classic kit building is back in a big way thanks to Frank Winspur and the folks at Moebius!

Thunderbirds are Gone:  The Legacy of Gerry Anderson (2:30 - 3:30)
Author/lost Tracy brother Anthony Taylor leads a panel discussion about the late Master of Supermarionation & Model FX’s work, life and lasting influence on a generation of fans and hobbyists!  From the 60’s puppetshow hits Stingray and Thunderbirds to the swinging 70’s live-action UFO and Space: 1999, Gerry had it all going on…

The Rondo Awards (5-?)
The Annual internet-based fan awards for the best in horror/fantasy and sci-fi return to salute the winners and present the coveted Acromegaliacs in all categories of movies, books, media and models and toys!

In Theater B:

Drafting Dreams:  John Eaves and Eric Chu  (12-1)
What happens when the production illustrator from Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness and Oz the Great and Powerful meets The Cylon God from Battlestar Galactica?  Fasten your seatbelts and lower your blast visors…

From Firefly to Iron Sky:  The VFX of Lee Stringer  (2-3)
CGI and organic (that’s real world human-handmade stuff) FX modeler/artist Lee Stringer showcases some of his dazzling work on genre film and TV favorites over the last decade, from the widely celebrated to the virtually unseen!

Beauty meets the Beast(maker)!  Brinke Stevens  vs  John Goodwin  (4- ?)
Scream queen and modeling sensation Brinke Stevens meets up with her old friend/nemesis (and Naked Monster co-star) in the John Goodwin, Emmy award-winning SPFX makeup maestro from CSI, Men in Black and The Thing for a live transformation into something else…

Electric Frankenstein:  Boris in the 60’s, with Sara Karloff  (11 - Noon)
Sara Karloff and WF’s Dave Conover will celebrate her legendary dad’s busy later-life career during the era of TV guest appearances, Thriller, Targets, and his fun-filled collaborations with Roger Corman!

Miniature Giants:  Randy Cooper with Dave Barkovitz  (12 - 1)
Propmasters/FX modelmakers/kit producers Randy Cooper & Dave Barkovitz give a tantalizing glimpse into their creative design and production work for motion pictures like Starship Troopers, Bicentennial Man, Men in Black and Spiderman 2!

Phasers on stun!  Propmaster Kenneth Palkow  (1:30 - 2:30)
WonderFesters will get the very first public showing of the new heavy firepower created by Ken for use in Star Trek: Into Darkness as well as a sampling of his other outstanding prop creation skills for features and series including Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Caprica, Underworld and many more!

Miss Kitka speaks: The Lee Meriwether Q&A!  (11:30 - 12:30)
Our favorite cinematic Catwoman will talk about her busy career during TV’s golden genre age and take questions from the fans!

Building the Battlestar: Lee Stringer  (1 - 2)
FX Master Lee Stringer returns for a special presentation devoted to his outstanding computer design and modeling work on SyFy’s groundbreaking reboot of Battlestar Galactica!

How-To Modeling Demos:

Learn modeling techniques from other great modelers. Because the FUN is BUILDING!

WonderFest continues our commitment to the art of model making with an expanded demo lineup!

Talks will last from 30 minutes to an hour, (or even two) and are planned to focus on major modeling topics and skills demonstrations. Some will allow the viewers to try the techniques shown.

Each year, voting is conducted by David and his intrepid team of moderators from the Classic Horror Film Board take open nominations and voting from fandom at large on the year’s best efforts in horror, sci-fi and fantasy in all media and areas of interest including models, toys, conventions and events.
